School holidays will be here soon. And you might be looking for ways to occupy your kids or grandkids. Or you could be seeking a staycation that gets you closer to nature. Author James Lowen has put together itineraries for days out and weekends away which celebrate Britain’s birds, plants and animals. There’s suggestions for somewhere to go every day between now and to Late August in England Scotland and Wales in his book, ‘A Summer of British Wildlife’. James’ nature travel guide contains map references to help you get to the right site with ease. James says he’s grouped together noteworthy nature sites so you could turn a daytrip into a weekend wildlife-watching break. Two counties feature prominently in James’ book and James’ personal day-out pick is in South West Wales.
