Bangladesh troops hand over newly refurbished road to South Sudan

Construction works and major repairs on the Juba - Rokon road in South Sudan, have been completed and the new road has been handed over to the authorities.

The Bangladesh engineering contingent serving under the United Nations Mission in #SouthSudan - UNMISS handed over the 56 kilometer road stretch to the authorities on Tuesday, marking another major milestone for the Bangladesh engineers, who have been engaged in major road repairs.

Major Safiq Binengr, Deputy commander of the #Bangladesh engineering contingent explained the significance of this road to the citizens.
