Next to a campaign that started with the voice of one Lisburn woman that has now gained the support of nearly two thousand people. Tracy Mearns has a daughter with autism and appealed to Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council to provide closed sessions for others with the condition at the popular Lisburn Leisureplex. Earlier this month she handed in a petition to representatives asking for autism friendly swim sessions but, so far, her appeal has fallen on deaf ears. Our reporter, Nicola Weir, went to meet the parents who have signed the petition to find out how difficult it is to take a child with autism to the pool.
