Indraneel Chitale, 26, fourth generation entrepreneur part of the family owned Chitale Bandhu Mithailwale which has operations in the dairy business for the last 75 years and in the sweets business for the last 60 years. Chitale Bandhu has become one of Pune’s dominant sweet and snacks retailers,their savoury packaged products such as bakarwadi are available in some general and modern retail stores in the major cities of Maharashtra and exported to the US, the UK and some African countries. Chitale will take us through the technological tranformations his family attempted early on in the 70s and 80s right from selling packaged milk in India to making ladoos and bakarwadi through automated machines.
