Jun 22, 2016, 12:59 PM

A book by a Glossop woman about her uncle who died in the first world war has sold out.

75 year old Norma Higginbottom was given the diary of Private William Atkinson McKinlay when she was 21 years old…

After an article about the diary appeared in the local paper to mark the centenary of the war, Norma got a phone message that finally prompted her to write her Uncle’s story. It's been reprinted and is available from Bay Tree Books in Glossop for £8.99.
