Are nicknames at school a thing of the past? #BBCNolan

Did you have a nickname growing up, or do you still have one now? Maybe you remember some funny nicknames you had for your teachers in your school days? Well regular Nolan Show contributor Chris Donnelly, whose day job is as a teacher, has been lamenting the demise of the nickname. As the school year draws to a close, he has been writing on Slugger O'Toole website that he fears nicknames have been killed off, and that "we have lost something which added colour and spice to many lives".
