Council row on whether to congratulate England football team #Euro2016

A fresh row over celebrating Euro 2016 football teams has kicked off at Belfast City Council. An Alliance party proposal to write to both the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland teams to praise their achievements on the pitch has been passed. But their councillor Michael Long branded Ulster Unionist Jim Rodgers "foolish" for wanting to congratulate the England team as well.
