Clarke and Rifkind ‘blooper’ – but should it have been broadcast?

High profile Conservative MP, the ex-chancellor Ken Clarke was caught on camera calling the Tory leadership contest a "fiasco" and made disparaging remarks about the candidates. He made the remarks to ex-foreign secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind when neither appeared to realise they were being recorded before a TV studio interview. Sky News decided to release the footage afterwards, but should they have done so?
