Britain's Theresa May Could Be New Prime Minister as Rival Quits

Theresa May is on course to become the U.K.'s next prime minister after Andrea Leadsom sensationally quit the race to become Conservative Party leadership race.

"We need a new Prime Minister as soon as possible" Leadsom said, adding that she had the support of less than 25% of the parliamentary party. Leadsom backed her lone rival Home Secretary May, saying she "is ideally placed to implement Brexit on the best possible terms for the British people.
