MP's are calling for the BBC to name its stars who earn more than the Prime Minister. A report by the Select Committee on Culture Media and Sport says the corporation should publish all salaries over £143,000 for presenters and producers, as well as executives. The BBC is planning to identify those who earn more than £450,000. But it says that revealing those on salaries of over £140,000 would allow commercial broadcasters to poach its stars, which "wouldn't be in the interests of licence fee payers".
