The recent fighting in Juba, has shaken the city and brought the nation once again at the epicenter of global focus, discussions and debates.
According to the UN’s refugee agency, UNHCR, the recent fighting has turned some 60,000 South Sudanese into refugees and thousands more into internally displaced persons within their own country. But the reality of the current situation in South Sudan has a child’s face, a child’s voice, and a child’s story that continues to draw the attention of the international humanitarian aid agencies.
The humanitarian community has been under massive strain to deal with the latest crisis and the cracks of this strain have been seen in a string of joint partnerships, efforts and resources to build community resilience.
World Vision Country Director, Perry Mansfield, spoke to Miraya Breakfast show saying the organization is committed to the people and especially the children.
“Our top priority is building resilience of the people, to help them withstand the shocks of the continuous crisis,” said Perry Mansfield.
