Chamunoda ZAMBUKO: "My Job helps pilots make informed decisions"

Chamunoda ZAMBUKO, is a youthful Meteorologist professional from Zimbabwe, working with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan - UNMISS Air Terminal Unit under Aviation.

His work responsibilities include aeronautical weather observations, analysis, forecasting and modelling. His main contributions to the Mission is to support the safety of flying UNMISS personnel as well as to enhance the operational efficiency of the flights.

"In short, my job helps the Pilots in command to make informed decisions on whether to delay, proceed, land or cancel the flight." Chamunoda proudly speaks about his work.

Chamunoda is also proud to inform the UNV community that he spearheaded the establishment of the UNMISS Met office which has since grown to become an influential Sub-Unit in UNMISS Aviation Section.
