Myles Mayovsky couldn't get it done on the hill for Pacific Northwest, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed four runs.

Japan never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on a sacrifice fly by Ryoma Ikeda and an RBI single by Matsumura.

Japan brought home two runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the third, Japan scored on a two-run single by Matsumura, scoring Kohei Hashimoto and Soshi Yoshino.
