"South Sudanese deserve peace" - UNMISS stress need for ceasefire to allow flow of Humanitarean aid

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan - UNMISS reiterates calls on the government and the SPLM in opposition to direct their forces, to respect the ceasefire declared at the peak of the recent fighting in Juba.

Ms Yasmina Bouziane, UNMISS Principal Public Information Officer, says free access for humanitarians is central to allow aid reach people in need.

Alex Agole spoke with Yasmina and begins by explaining that the renewal of the UNMISS mandate is expected to be discussed by the UN Security council this Friday.
