The Executive Director of Carrier Sekani Family Services says that despite recent attention to "60's Scoop", more Aboriginal children are being taken from their homes than ever.

As many as sixteen thousand Aboriginal children were taken from their homes to be placed with non-native families. This, during a period of nearly twenty years beginning in the 1960s... ...Now infamously known as the "Sixties Scoop". A class-action lawsuit against the practice is now underway in Ontario. The plaintiffs are some of the grown children who were affected by the policy. They are seeking over a billion dollars in damages. Warner Adam is the Executive Director of Carrier Sekani Family Services in Prince George. He spoke with Betsy Trumpener.
