Manchester Phoenix head coach Tony Hand MBE is to lend a helping hand to Ice Hockey UK in their national development programme.

Hand was the first ice hockey player to be honoured by The Queen, the first British player to be drafted by an NHL team and in his 34 year playing career he notched more than 4,000 points.

In this exclusive interview, Hand explains to BBC Radio Manchester reporter Clare Freeman why he's looking forward to developing homegrown talent - both in coaching staff and young players in this new role.
