Japan’s Ambassador to South Sudan, Ambassador Kiya Masahiko says the country needs to work hard to build the trust of its partners so as to benefit from development initiatives.

The call comes a day after Japan pledged to invest 30 billion US dollars in Africa over the next three years. The package will support public and private partnerships in infrastructure development, education and healthcare expansion between 2016 and 2018.

Speaking on the Miraya Breakfast show host Sani Martin, Ambassador Kiya Masahiko, said peace is a prerequisite for South Sudan to benefit from the commitments.
