UNMISS: Whatever we do is for the peace & prosperity of South Sudan

The Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of the UN Mission in South Sudan has met with Cabinet Affairs Minister, Martin Elia Lomuro to follow up on a recent visit of the UN Security Council.

Speaking after the meeting in Juba, Ms Ellen Margarethe Loej described the discussions as ‘fruitful,’ and said the Mission will cooperate with the Transitional Government to work for peace, justice and prosperity in South Sudan.

The SRSG said UNMISS will continue to engage with the government on the issues agreed upon during the Council’s visit.
