How to Relaunch Your Life in Spite of the Challenges

Nov 20, 2015, 10:00 AM

Joel Boggess was born in the US and is the host of the Relaunch Show podcast, which has now surpassed 1 million downloads.  Joel’s parents divorced when he was 3 years old.  He lived with his mother most of the time, but when he was 5, a terrible accident changed him forever.  During an outdoor excursion, he had ran out onto a railroad bridge and laid down in the middle of the bridge to wave at the adults below.  Suddenly, a train was upon him, and Joel fell 30 feet to the ground below.  Joel spent the next 3 weeks in intensive care fighting for his life.  Joel had to learn to do many things again, and his life changed after the accident.   Another interesting note about Joel is that his wife Pei, was actually the first guest on Breaking the Borders.  You will want to listen to her episode too, and you can find it here.

In this episode, you will also learn:

All the things that Joel had to re-learn after the accident
The social impacts of the accident throughout his childhood
Why Joel  manifested his anger through fighting
How what Joel is doing now is so different from where his accident left him
Joel is married to a Chinese immigrant and understands the challenge of being an immigrant
Why Joel doesn’t live a normal life
How Relaunch is the 9th show between all of Joel and Pei’s attempts
How they used these failures to learn and as building blocks
Why mindset has been a game changer for Joel
How Joel’s extra challenges since his accident are similar to the challenges an immigrant faces
Why not comparing yourself to others can help you succeed
Why being positive has helped Joel’s show
How eliminating the act of watching the news and TV can make you happier!
