Carnation in conversation with Oldham Chronicle journalist Simon Smedley

NOW down to just three in number, Failsworth indie hopefuls Carnation are confident their current line-up is the one that will prove to be a big hit on the local music scene. The band – bassist/vocalist Saul, lead guitarist Cameron and drummer Oscar – formed initially more than two years ago. For such young lads, the band have played some high-profile gigs in and around Manchester, including two support slots for Bruce Foxton’s brilliant ‘From the Jam’ at the Gorilla in the city centre and the Sale Waterside Arts Centre. Now, however, after Carnation's 'downsize', they are building towards what will hopefully be a prosperous 2017. Listen to Oldham Chronicle journalist Simon Smedley speaking exclusively to Carnation about their hopes and aspirations for the future.
