Lands Ministry fire in #Freetown

During the morning SLBC newsroom meeting we heard that there was a fire at the Youyi building. I accompanied a TV news team to observe. For the journalist, Ann-Marie Gegbi, it was the first fire story she has covered. An office containing computers and lands register records was severely damaged. From the fire and water damage we saw, this is likely to be an ongoing story - important land records may have been lost with no duplicates or back-up digital files.
