Drake Sets Record With American Music Award Nominations

On Monday, the nominations for Billboard's annual American Music Awards were released, and it's already shaping up to be a record year for Drake. With 13 nods, the "Hotline Bling" rapper has now toppled Michael Jackson's 32-year standing record of 11 nominations, set in 1984. Drake is up for awards including Artist of the Year, Favorite Male Artist, and Favorite Album, for the inescapable Views.
