Birmingham MP Steve McCabe "shocked" at West Midlands having the worst GCSE results

A Birmingham MP says he's alarmed after new the latest figures show the West Midlands has the worst GCSE results in the country.
The government figures for this summer's results show teenagers in the South East and in London are doing much better than those in the Midlands and the north.
Just under 60 % in our region got A*-C in English and Maths - compared to 66% in London.
