Oct 17, 2016, 03:16 PM

Cinder Block Comedy Festival is took place in Williamsburg September 15th- 18th 2016. According to the website " We’re about including a varietal rainbow of background and experiences, so as to cultivate a more exciting comedy experience for the audience."

The festival is also primarily organized by women, VERY funny women. The festival is the brainchild of Coree Spencer who got quite a bit of publicity for charging white men more to submit to this festival to bring attention to wage gap which still exisits. This week on What Would Save the World? on Radio Free Brooklyn organizers Alison Klemp and Joanna Briley will discuss the festival, the comedy world for women and more with Toook Edalow (who is also on the team for the festival!)

Joanna Briley-- Employed by the MTA and Creator of the NYC Transit produced Laff Tracks Comedy Show, Comedy Manager at Brooklyn House of Comedy, appeared on Wendy Williams' "Street Talk" segment as well as featured on WPIX 11 News with Transit News Reporter Greg Mocker. Worked in the token booth for 25 years.

Alison Klemp -- Music Choice TV. Producer for cinderblock fest, Host of the Naked Show at the Creek and the Cave (and a special performance with Cinderblock)
