Capital's been out reporting with explosion experts in Nottinghamshire as they make sure shops aren't letting people buy fireworks that are too big for their gardens.
The team from Nottinghamshire County Council Trading Standards took us to Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
People are being told to buy CATEGORY 2 fireworks, that are designed for gardens rather than CATEGORY 3, which need to be viewed from at least 25 metres away.
