“Feelings aren’t ‘wrong’ or ‘right,’ ‘bad’ or ‘good.’ Feelings just are.”
Gershen Kaufman and Lev Raphael
People like to label their feelings. Happiness is “good.” Jealousy is “bad.” Anger is “wrong”— unless it’s for a good reason, which makes it “right.” Labels get in the way of what we’re really supposed to do with our feelings: feel them, accept them, and be responsible for them.
TODAY I won’t label my feelings.
