Witham Town ‘superfan’ James Beardwell couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw who his team were paired with as he assisted with the draw for the Fourth Round of the BBC Essex Senior Cup at the radio station’s Chelmsford studios. Adam Flint’s Ryman North club travel for an attractive tie at Football League Two neighbours Colchester United in the last 16 of the County Cup following the draw on Wednesday 9th November as a reward for their 2-0 home win over Ilford in Round Three. James, recognisable for his appearance on TV’s ‘Undateables’ programme earlier in the year, was thrilled.
