Major concerns this morning about UDA activity in Carrickfergus. In a policing board meeting yesterday, top police chiefs spelt out how bad tensions were in the Castlemara estate. That's due to a dispute involving the South East Antrim UDA and a local family. Assistant Chief Constable Stephen Martin said 17 people had been arrested since May. Offences involved the UDA and included drugs, intimidation, and possession of weapons. Stephen Martin said police officers are being sent into Castlemarra on a daily basis but he was concerned someone was going to "end up hurt or dead."
