Cyber criminals are holding businesses to ransom in Derbyshire without physically being there.

They're sending viruses to lock company computers and systems, then asking for money to unlock the accounts.

Criminals are also pretending to be bosses to get money out of businesses.

CEO fraud is where someone sends an email, claiming to be your manager, and asks you to transfer money to an outside account.

There have been more report of these types of cyber crimes in Derbyshire in the last 6 months.
