[...] “This country needs to discover the sanctity of human life, this country needs to realize that its most important resource is its people. This country to realize that regardless of ethnic origin, religion or place of residence, every South Sudanese must be considered a person who has in him or herself a sacred life that needs to be preserved, protected and nurtured." - Michael Kingsley-Nyinah, the Director for Africa in UN Peacekeeping Operations.

Kingsley said this on Friday, at the end of his trip to South Sudan. He stressed the urgency for the people and their leaders to appreciate the value and importance of life.
