Sadly, Pc Tracey Bishop has seen first-hand #howitfeels to deal with the consequences of drink and drug driving.

Her role as a Family Liaison Officer sees her provide comfort and support for families who have lost loved ones in collisions around the county. She said: “A fatal collision is like throwing a pebble into a pond. The ripples go on year after year. The families don’t forget the pain, they just learn to cope with it. The pain doesn’t go away.”

Here she tells Heart Essex exactly #howitfeels to see families torn apart by drivers who make the selfish decision to get behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
