78,000 people are expected to fly out of @EMA_Airport over the next few days for the Christmas getaway; that's 14% more than last year

It's expected to be one of the busiest days of the year today for people travelling and doing some last minute shopping.

It's thought around 12 million cars will be on the roads.

On the trains, as well as the usual no services on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, some lines will be shut for several days from tomorrow.

78 thousand of people are expected to fly out of East Midlands Airport over the next few days for a Christmas holiday.

Bosses there say it's 14 per cent up on last year.
