Have politicians fallen out of love with pollsters?

Pollsters have picked up a pretty bad rep recently... after failing to predict the outcome of the US election, the EU Referendum and also the 2015 General Election. They didn't get it all wrong but they did, in some cases, give a misleading picture. So what next for polling and pollsters - will they be confined to facing short shrift from political parties for failing to call the biggest global upsets in decades? Or is there a little more sympathy for them and the complex task they face? I've been finding out...
