First ever Disability team finishes the DAKAR Rally.

Six years ago Barney Gillespie lost his leg in an explosion whilst on patrol in Afghanistan when he was serving with the Royal Irish Regiment. 2 months’ post injury Barney, was offered the chance to be part of the 1st ever disability team with Race To Recovery to compete in the DAKAR Rally. The event is an off road endurance race that lasts 15 days and covers 9000Km across Peru, Argentina and Chile. After 2 years prepping the team set off to South America.
