Religious leaders have come up with a plan of action to take a more central role in the peace process.
The plan was drawn out during a retreat of 30 bishops, chiefs, women and youth in Gulu district, Northern Uganda. The clergy spent 4 days reflecting on the situation in South Sudan and how they can work collectively with chiefs, women, and local leaders to influence positive change.
Bishop Enock Tombe was at the retreat and said the experience gave them an opportunity to learn from previous experiences. More in this interview.
