Peace River RD board chair explains why northeast B.C.'s fire dispatch service is moving to Vancouver Island

The Peace River Regional District has finalized plans to move its fire dispatch centers from Fort St. John and Dawson Creek and centralize them in Campbell River. Some, including firefighters, say this is a problem because people on Vancouver Island won't understand northeast B.C.'s geography. Board chair Brad Sperling explains the decision amidst controversy.
