Talks are underway to prepare for the arrival of a regional protection force, the office of the UNMISS spokesperson has said.
The Regional Protection Force was approved by the United Nations Security Council, last August following renewed clashes in Juba. The council decided to increase UNMISS force levels to a ceiling of 17,000 troops, including 4,000 for a regional protection force.
