The One Insight
Sanguine but lonely still: Time to count, time to kill, Till you saw that light upon the hill; You followed in your mind.
Silent and introspect You followed blindly, step by step, You saw the mountain’s true aspect You thought you’d never find.
Chorus Through a light that first had blinded In its radiance of awe, You stood a silent witness Amazed at all you saw. For it weighted your doubt-filled silence, It questioned your stiff will; When you reached out it was other And it is other still.
Still sanguine and introspect — each eon moves to meet the next — You found the light was too complex, You wonder at it still.
Shining and ever bright The lantern of the sacred night, It blessed you with that one insight That you acknowledge still.
