Reimagined by Tariq Emam.

"Nether Lands 062 is a ‘reimagining’ of organ music accompanied by voice, or is it voice accompanied by organ? This piece presents three approaches to the sounds of Keizergrachtkerk in Amsterdam from a field recording by Larva Peruzzotti.

Cut, processed, drowned, bastardised. Put together, remixed, musicalised. Or thereabouts.

[This piece was chosen, quite late on in the call and, from the choices, included the best quality of recording that could be worked with. There was little-to-no microphone handling noise or disturbances thereof, the presence of the recordist was absent, and the sonic qualities within the recording were composer-friendly and allowed for many, many approaches to its reimagining. I chose three techniques which, once processed and mixed, allowed for tonal and timbral relationships to be made through crossfades. These included time-stretching, filtering, sequencing, looping, and use of high-feedback delays.]"
