The Trump administration is standing firm over its ban on immigration from seven countries despite court rulings and mass protests against it. In a statement, President Trump said visas would once again be issued once "the most secure policies" were in place, and denied it was a Muslim ban. Last night on 5 Live Stephen spoke to Ali Hamedani a British passport holder, who works for the BBC World Service, he has been subjected to president Trumps intense immigration scrutiny practices. Mr. Hamedani had his mobile phone taken off him and he was told to hand over his password. They searched through his telephone, looking through his Twitter account for any political views. Stephen spoke to him from Chicago's O'Hare Airport. He landed there yesterday afternoon from London Heathrow, travelling with American Airlines.
