There's been surprise this morning at the news that Northern Ireland's Attorney General is considering challenging the legality of a botched energy scheme that could cost taxpayers £490 million. John Larkin says he may bring a case against the Department for the Economy for introducing the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme before it went to the full Executive. UUP leader Mike Nesbitt has called the move a bizarre twist: "Just when you think the Renewable Heat Incentive fiasco could not get any stranger, we have, in effect, the Executive through its top legal advisor suing itself.
