A significant move by the Ulster Unionist leader Mike Nesbitt yesterday. He says, after voting for his own party's candidates, he will transfer his votes to the SDLP ahead of other unionist candidates. That triggered huge criticism from the DUP and TUV. It was also rejected by one of Mr Nesbitt's own senior party colleagues. Newry and Armagh UUP candidate, Danny Kennedy, last night advised his supporters to give their second preference to the DUP. He said on Facebook - "I confirm that I will be advising my supporters to give their Second Preference Vote to the only other Unionist Candidate standing in the Constituency of Newry & Armagh. I believe it is important to protect the two Pro-Union seats in this constituency." Stephen talks to DUP's Edwin Poots.
