PLAYER POWER: The biggest problem in Football?
Sanchez, Costa, Payet, Ozil & Sterling are a group of men with immense power, not that sort of power because if it was that sort of power, Ozil and Sterling wouldn’t be on the list.
Player Power is the power I am speaking of and that is the subject of the podcast.
It seems on the face of it that clubs and especially fans are bearing the Chris Brunt of this issue.
Fans give these players huge admiration and more often than not, players throw it back in our faces.
One thing that seems to be at the core of every player power story is MONEY, football is drunk with money and the players are moneyholics.
Back in the day of Paul Gascoigne & Merson, Tony Adams and George Best, players were just alcoholics, now their moneyholics.
