Hope alive for Downsyndrome people in Nigeria

A few years back in Nigeria,when the word Downsyndrome was mentioned,many people got confused including parents whose children were diagnosed with the condition after birth. 

Then the society attached the condition to fetish and spiritual attack because awareness level was so low.

However, In the last seven years the story has been different , with the establishment of the Down Syndrome Nigeria which has not only led an aggressive awareness campaign about the condition but also initiated innovative initiatives to rehabilitate children born with the condition.

 In this special report correspondent Martina Ogbonna who has been part of the advocacy campaign reports on how far the awareness campaign has enhanced creativity among people living with the condition.
