Eugene Owusu: Humanitarian access critical to delivery of aid in South Sudan

A top humanitarian official says it’s becoming increasingly critical for access to be granted to humanitarian workers so they can reach people in need.

On Monday, Government and the UN declared famine in Northern Unity state with some 100 – thousand people facing starvation.

Speaking to Miraya Breakfast show, Eugene Owusu, said allowing humanitarian access to affected areas will ensure people get food as well as help with restoring their livelihoods.
