Should all prescriptions be free or is it time we paid for all our over the counter medicines?

A listener has contacted the show - to say their local GP has told its patients - they will no longer be providing free prescriptions for minor conditions. The surgery in County Tyrone has displayed a sign saying that ailments that 'can be treated with over the counter medicines' that can be bought at a pharmacy will not be given on prescription. Does that seem fair? Should more GPs follow suit or should it be free to all? Vinny gets the thoughts of Patrick Mulholland from the trade union NIPSA and businessman Irwin Armstrong.
