World Encephalitis Day 2017

Encephalitis is a swelling of the brain which is caused either by an infection invading the brain or through the immune system attacking the brain in error.

Although it is a relatively unkown condition around 500,000 people are affected globally each year.

RNIB Connect Radio's Simon Pauley spoke with Dr Ava Easton from the Encephalitis Society to find out more about the condition and also to find out what the charity were planning to mark World Encephalitis Day #encephalitis #awareness
