The Education Minister insists the government is committed to making life even better for gay and lesbian people in the UK.

It's despite concerns from LGBT campaigners in the East Midlands that attitudes manifesting themselves after we leave the EU may give rise to more homophobic attacks.

Figures from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire's police forces show reports have increased by more than 25% in 2016 compared with 2015.

But Justine Greening - says they're working hard to challenged negative attitudes early.
