WFP: School Meals Matter

Government and the United Nations recently announced a famine in parts of South Sudan, with many more facing threat from famine.

The famine threat is taking a great toll on the many families in the country already living in poverty.

WFP provides assistance in South Sudan, including a school meals program for 300 - thousand children.

George Forminyen, is the communications officer for WFP. He joins me now to discuss the impact of school meals and what It would take to help feed and educate children in South Sudan.
