President Kiir’s declaration of a National Day of Prayer

President Salva Kiir has called for "forgiveness and blessings" in a public statement accompanying his declaration of March 10th as the a National Day of Prayer.

In a recorded statement, President Kiir asked the citizens to turn up in large numbers and asked the leaders in the regions to observe the day.

Speaking as leader and patron of the National Dialogue, The president acknowledged the need for South Sudanese to commit themselves to God through prayers and forgive each other.
